It has been a while since many of the magazines I normally write for have put anything out in print. Slowly and carefully, however, things are coming back online. My latest for Northwest Travel & Life Magazine is about one of my favorite forms of travel, which might also be one of the safer forms available to us at the moment. But beyond the inherent benefits of fewer people and wide-open spaces, rural travel has so much more to offer. It’s on newsstands now, or click here for the PDF version.

Sip Magazine: Craft Kitchen – When Beer and Quality Eats Unite
18 03 2020My first feature for Sip Magazine is about the best Brewpub food and beer pairings around the region. From the story: “Wine pairs with food. As sure as the sun rises and sets, this publication and countless others exist, due in part to our acknowledgment and appreciation of this time-honored fact. While the craft brewing industry might not be as broadly recognized for it, the art of pairing food with beer has been coming into its own for years now.”

Northwest Travel & Life Magazine: Foodie Tours
4 03 2020As many of you know, I have been a culinary tour guide in one capacity or another for close to a decade. And the reason I keep my tour guide pilot light lit is because giving a great culinary tour is one of my all-time favorite things. I also love going on them 🙂 My latest for Northwest Travel & Life Magazine gives a rundown of a handful of my favorites. It’s on newsstands now, or you can click here to read the PDF version.

1889 Magazine: Sue Taves – No Looking Back
30 01 2020My latest for 1889 Magazine is a bit of a departure for me subject-wise. I’ve never covered art before, but a recent trip to Whidbey Island inspired me to be a little more inspired by art. And more often than not, the artists themselves. Sue Taves was one of many amazing artists I visited with and you can read her story in the issue that’s on newsstands now, or click here to read the pdf version.
