It’s rare that I am the subject of a story, as I’m usually the one authoring it. But this is one such instance, and a story I feel compelled to share in hopes of potentially helping other current and former addicts. Written by fellow writer and veteran, Marguerite Cleveland for Northwest Military, this story details the struggles with opiate and heroin addiction that ended my military career and almost ruined my writing career as well.
